Why You Should Stop Being So Easily Offended

by S.E. Miller Due to today’s political environment many are saying we are living in the last days. A fellow told me  he realized we are living in the last days, when Donald Trump was elected and named his motorcade limo “The Beast.”  I haven’t told him yet, but it looks like the beast was made and named in 2015 when Obama was president. So because the president rides in a limo called the beast may not be a sign we are living in the last days. But I am sure about one thing occurring in society that proves we are living … Continue reading Why You Should Stop Being So Easily Offended

Got Faith?

The “Just” shall live by faith (Hebrews 10:38). But what is faith? Harper’s Bible Dictionary says faith is: “An act or state of acknowledging the existence and power of a supreme being and the reality of a divine order. “The acceptance as real or true, that which is not supported by evidence of the senses or by rational proofs.” “An affirmative response to the will of God as revealed, especially by Jesus Christ. It is thus a compound of belief, trust, and an attitude of mind, will, or spirit.” What Jesus said about faith: “When Jesus departed from there (the ruler’s house), … Continue reading Got Faith?

Blasphemy and the Atheist

Scripture says, all sins are forgivable but one. Do you know which one? Just in case you don’t know it is the sin of Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. Jesus said, even if you blaspheme His name it will be forgiven but if you blaspheme the Holy Spirit it will not be forgiven. So, what is “blasphemy?” In general, blasphemy is evil speaking. So, one can blaspheme the president, husband, wife, friend … Continue reading Blasphemy and the Atheist

Let God Fight Your Battles

John F. Craghan, author of Psalms for All Seasons says, “fidelity to God means deliverance from any and all forms of distress.  Notice Craghan says, this benefit belongs to those who are in a state of “fidelity.” To be a person of fidelity, means to be faithful and loyal in character. While many are fainting with fear God has instructed Christians not to be fearful or dismayed. The faithful Christian may proclaim as David did in Psalm 18:6. “In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and … Continue reading Let God Fight Your Battles

Three Ways to Get On Jesus’ Nerves!

There are a few attitudes or actions that will really annoy or irritate Jesus. I have listed three of them below. Have a church and turn it into a den of thieves instead of a house  of prayer. In Mark 11:14, Jesus said, “My house should be called a place of worship for all nations.’ But you have made it a place where robbers hide!” During this time, people brought animals to sacrifice them at the temple, which doesn’t seem out of the ordinary until we discover that the High Priest owned the shops that sold the animals. So, here the … Continue reading Three Ways to Get On Jesus’ Nerves!
